    About La Plagne Ski Resort

La Plagne is one of France's most popular ski resorts, offering an unbeatable combination of snow-sure skiing, family-friendly villages and access to one of the largest ski areas in the Alps.

Made up of several interconnected villages at varying altitudes, the La Plagne provides plenty of accommodation options, excellent ski-in/ski-out convenience and a relaxed atmosphere that appeals to families, groups and couples alike. With transfers from Geneva, Lyon and Chambéry airports, it's also an accessible choice for both short breaks and week-long ski holidays.

La Plagne ski resort forms part of the vast Paradiski ski area, linking with Les Arcs to provide over 425km of pistes. Beginners will appreciate the excellent learning zones and gentle slopes, while intermediates can spend days exploring long blue and red runs across both sides of the ski area. More advanced skiers will find challenging blacks, off-piste opportunities and exciting high-altitude terrain, ensuring there is something for every ability level.

The resort's altitude, combined with extensive snowmaking, helps provide reliable conditions throughout the winter season.

Away from the slopes, La Plagne offers a welcoming alpine atmosphere with mountain restaurants, lively bars and a range of activities for non-skiers. Families can enjoy tobogganing, swimming and winter walking, while thrill-seekers can experience the famous Olympic bobsleigh track or panoramic glacier viewpoints.

Combining a huge ski area, excellent value, reliable snow conditions and accommodation close to the lifts, a ski holiday to La Plagne is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a varied and enjoyable winter break in the French Alps.

    AS
"La Plagne is often referred to as the intermediate's paradise on account of the wide, sweeping blues that litter the Paradiski area. That said, there really is something here for all ability levels; whether you're just finding your feet on you first ski holiday or craving a steep challenge, the sheer scale of the Paradiski area means variety is in abundance - this is what makes La Plagne so ideal for mixed ability groups."

The skiing is particularly well suited to beginners and intermediates, with a huge selection of wide, confidence-building blue and red runs spread across the mountain. Dedicated beginner zones and excellent ski schools make it easy for first-timers to progress, while intermediates can spend days exploring scenic cruising terrain without repeating the same runs. The resort also links with Les Arcs via the spectacular double decker Vanoise Express cable car, opening up the wider Paradiski area and providing access to over 425km of pistes. Advanced skiers are equally well catered for, with challenging black runs, mogul fields, glacier skiing and extensive off-piste opportunities throughout the ski area.
