Zell am See–Kaprun combines the panoramic pistes of Schmittenhöhe with the high-altitude, snow-sure terrain of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. The glacier reaches over 3,000m, helping to ensure reliable snow throughout the season. Beginners and intermediates will feel especially at home here. Schmittenhöhe features gentle blue and easy red runs that are perfect for learning and building confidence, while several dedicated beginner areas - including magic carpets and broad, well-groomed slopes - make first turns enjoyable and stress-free. Intermediates will appreciate the long, scenic cruisers and varied terrain that encourage exploration at a comfortable pace. Advanced skiers and families also find plenty to love. The Kitzsteinhorn glacier delivers steeper pitches, freeride lines, snow parks, and fast, exhilarating descents, while the Maiskogel area offers gentle, welcoming terrain great for families and less experienced skiers.
